Drawing on the late-90s Mayfly, Nike's ultra-light limited-run racer, the Pegasus Premium LV8 adds elevated materials and detailing to the most technical Pegasus yet. It is produced in smaller numbers than the standard model.

Under the foot

A full-length sculpted Air Zoom unit runs between a ZoomX top layer and a ReactX base. ZoomX handles soft, springy landings, ReactX carries the durability, and the Air unit adds a distinct snap at toe-off that foam-only trainers cannot reproduce.

Expect a tall, soft, bouncy super trainer for daily mileage, long runs and uptempo days, with a 10 mm drop and roughly 308 g in a men's US 9. Free tracked shipping.

Most performance running shoes are built on a single unisex last: the shoe is identical, only the size label changes. A US women's 8.5 is a US men's 7.
